Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, from Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two notable covers that the artist has done. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway on her blog added to the musician's recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft, and becoming intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely for fun or for the sake of growing, but that she was encouraged to take it seriously. Her parents inspired her to write. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. She decided to start performing her music in public when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not to gain fame with her work, but instead help those around them see their own importance and how they impact the world. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public so that people can see the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family members until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her dream. Her sole passion is writing music. To her music, is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
